...is a music teacher with St. Mary's County Public Schools, where he teaches elementary general music, chorus, band, and strings. He is a graduate of Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education (2006) and a Master of the Arts in Teaching (2008). He has been teaching in one form or another for about 12 years, and has had a private studio for 8 years. He is primarily a trombone player, but doubles on tuba, baritone/euphonium, trumpet, didgeridoo, djembe, saw, and several other pieces of miscellaneous furniture.
Side projects include collecting as many trombone-related resources as possible, converting a clothes closet into a recording booth, and trying to get hired as a voice actor.
Nathan has been venturing further into the world of woodworking. Current goals involve learning to make dovetails that don't look like they're falling apart and making sure chisels remain on the exterior of the body.
Nathan has a dog named Duke, who is a German Shepherd/Lab mix, two Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua mixes named Katya and Bruno, two cats named Hugo and Captain Jack, and two rabbits named Annabelle and Cinnamon. What he really wants is to start an educational dog rescue farm.
Nathan is always on the lookout for new gigs and musical opportunities, as well as new students for the studio. For more information, visit the For Hire page for information about possible playing opportunities, or email the studio at [email protected].
